Serve with a Smile (update pending)

On an autumn day in November 2024, Lake Highlands Tennis Team hosted a pickleball tournament in honor of Austin, and raise money for the team and for his memorial fund. It truly was a great day!

On this day, there were almost 100 participants. They represented friends from the neighborhood, Austin’s friends, and some new friends. It was amazing! The weather was beautiful! People had a lot of fun meeting each other on the courts finding out how they were connected to Austin. We had some really awesome food trucks serving some delicious treats!
At the end, of course, there were winners. Honestly, everybody that came out was a winner for coming out and having a lot of fun. The tennis team named this event “Serve with a Smile” because Austin had a memorable smile. He always had fun on that tennis court and tried to include others. He is missed every day! The Silva family is thankful for the way the school and community remembers him, and we can’t wait for next year!
